Small Business Consulting

• Render services as General Counsel to small businesses incorporated in the District and Maryland.

• Advise minority and disadvantaged businesses in areas of management, technical support and federal contracting, certifications and bidding process and human resources.

• Render legal advice and assistance for FAR compliance.

• Draft articles of incorporation, by laws, personnel handbooks, employment agreements, professional service agreements, technical proposals, business teaming agreements, subcontracts, confidentiality and nondisclosure agreements and other business documents critical to small business development  and administration.

• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and applicable federal and local laws.

• Develop management implementation plans and major business objectives for assigned projects, handbooks, employee performance criteria and other tools critical to personnel development and performance.

• Deliver presentations on issuances developed and drafted, consult with executive level management team on program development and administration and interface with executive level government personnel and corporate executives as required.

• Defend and mediate for corporate CEO/President and other personnel on all legal challenges presented.

Currently General Counsel, Vice President for Program Development and Administration and Contracts Administrator for SMCI, a technical services firm based in Lanham, Maryland  with clientele that includes the U.S. Department of Defense - NASA, U.S. Treasury Department, U.S. State Department  and U.S. Department of Agriculture.
